Daniella’s educational background includes holding a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UW-Milwaukee’s Graduate Program while also holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is passionate about helping people find true clarity and confidence in themselves by providing an interactive, warm and accepting space. She knows that asking for help can kick up a lot of fear, but is committed to helping people find healthy perceptions of themselves through self-understanding and self-compassion. Daniella strongly believes that when it comes to therapy, people know themselves better than anyone which means she sees therapy as a joint venture where our knowledge and skills are combined to create solutions best suited for you. She believes that there is no single approach that is the right one for every individual so she incorporates different approaches such as strength-based, collaborative, and person centered, along with using CBT interventions.

Lindsay received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bradley University with an emphasis in neurocounseling. This emerging field focuses on new findings in the field of neuroscience, counseling, and physiology, including polyvagal theory, the gut-brain axis, and top-down, bottom-up processing. Lindsay uses techniques like diaphragmatic breathing, guided relaxation, joyful movement and other unique coping strategies to guide clients toward a sense of peace and wellbeing. In today’s stressful world, this important step helps clients access new parts of their brain to generate deep insight and meaningful change. Lindsay is passionate about helping people who struggle with burnout, anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and body image concerns. Her background allows her to relate to and assist working professionals, mothers and teens through a mindfulness and neurocounseling lens. In addition to her training in neurocounseling, Lindsay has been a certified yoga instructor for nearly a decade. She teaches open-level, prenatal and chair yoga. Before enrolling in her counseling program, Lindsay served in various corporate and agency roles for nearly a decade. Today, she is a working mom and wellness professional. While this career change has been a long time coming, her experience in other fields has made it that much more meaningful!

She views therapy as a collaborative and unique journey for each individual and partners with clients to build on their inner strengths, help them navigate challenging thoughts, emotions, patterns, and situations, and enhance their well-being. Paige’s areas of interest include anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, women’s issues, and grief and loss.

Anni Cox-Lowry, MSW, LCSW

Anni has been providing counseling services to the Waukesha community since 2003.  She works with patients addressing a wider variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, as well as separation and divorce.  She provides compassionate, comprehensive care to individuals, couples and familites using a systemic approach, which focuses on strengths and resiliencies.  Anni is a Family Systems trained therapist who utilizes Solution Focused therapy.  Anni is also EMDR certified (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and has done much work with the Women's Center of Waukesha focusing on physical and sexual abuse.  Anni has taught graduate level courses in counseling at Mount Mary University and continues to supervise interns from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee and Alverno College.

Having graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 2006 with a concentration in community counseling, David has experience working with a wide range of clients.  He has previously done group counseling as well as individual work with teens and adults from a wide range of backgrounds.  David has experience conducting career counseling and job transition strategies having previously worked in academia providing these services to students and alumni.  David currently specializes in anxiety, depression, marriage and family therapy, career issues, grief, divorce and stress management.  He also has a strong passion for working with current, and returning, military veterans having previously worked in the intelligence field for the U.S. Navy.  David is also an Adjunct Professor at Lakeland University teaching graduate level courses in counseling.  He also Supervises and mentors post-graduate interns at both Northshore and Lakeland University.

James works with children, adolescents, and adults providing individual, couples, and family therapy. From small private practices to large psychiatric treatment institutions like Rogers Memorial Hospital, he has cultivated experience working with diverse clientele in a variety of treatment settings and has lead therapy groups focused on trauma, anger management, personality disorders, depression, and anxiety.  James graduated with his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with concentrations in behavioral and physical health and trauma therapy.  He has provided consultation for programming revision in the areas of trauma and personality disorders and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Alliance on Mental Illness in Waukesha.  James’ eclectic approach to therapy draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, depth psychology, dialectical behavior therapy, positive psychology, and solution focused therapy.  In 2007, he traveled to southern India to study coping strategies used by survivors of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami.  Always amazed by resiliency of the human spirit, James employs a strength-based approach that looks at all behaviors as adaptive and seeks to avoid judgmental attitudes that prevent greater understanding, a requisite for sustainable positive change.

Becca is a dedicated individual that values a collaborative relationship with clients. Becca’s educational background includes holding a Master of Science in Professional Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Mount Mary University and a Bachelor of Arts in
Psychology from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She understands seeking help can be challenging and is amplified for members of marginalized communities and works to create a non-judgmental, accepting, and affirming environment for clients of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, and disability factors. Becca tailors the treatment approach to the client and their goals. She utilizes an integrative approach that includes person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed interventions, and other treatment
modalities to create a strong and collaborative therapeutic relationship with clients. Becca works with adolescents and adults and has interests in depression, anxiety, trauma, women’s issues, and mood disorders. Jane holds a Masters in Social Work and is a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker with a license in Marriage and Family Therapy. She received her degree through the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and completed post graduate training at the Family Therapy Training Institute through Aurora Family Service in Milwaukee. Jane is certified and licensed by the State of Wisconsin and provides adult individual and couples counseling as well as family therapy. She believes the goal of therapy is to obtain a good working knowledge of inner resources so as to build upon natural abilities and instill a sense of hope. Her treatment approach uses a blend of psycho-educational, cognitive-behavioral and related therapeutic models to treat anxiety, depression, personal and interpersonal issues. Jane also draws from various skill sets to help clients develop healthy relationships and coping skills. A crucial step toward building any strong relationship is establishing trust.  Alex believes that a successful Client/Therapist collaboration is formed on a foundation of trust which includes good rapport, an understanding that the Client is the compass and the session will go in the direction they choose.  Alex has experience working in a residential treatment facility working with those who struggled with substance use disorders as well as working with teens experiencing various mental health challenges.  He believes that his education, previous experience and his personal life has helped him to better utilize various treatment modalities such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Logos Therapy.  Alex has also received specialist training in Brainspotting which locates points in the Client's visual field that help to access unprocessed trauma in the subcortical brain.  His therapeutic interests include sexuality and gender identity, trauma, teens and young adults aged 11 years and older.  Alex also utilizes a therapy dog by the name of Higgins.  Higgins serves the dual purpose of acting as Alex's guide dog (Alex lost 90% of his vision when he was 20 years old) as well as helping Client's cope and feel at ease with the therapeutic process.  However, Higgins need not be present if the Client has a preference.

Dr. Myers has a PhD in educational psychology. Since 1982, she has been working with individuals, couples and families. She specializes in issues related to ongoing recovery including eating disorders, childhood physical abuse, goal setting, adoptee issues and budget counseling.  In addition, she has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating depression, anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and grief. She has expertise in working with individuals who have suffered crisis, grief and Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.  Dr. Myers is Semi-Retired.

Rhea is a compassionate individual who is dedicated to the healing journeys of survivors who have been through trauma. She has a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is certified in trauma informed care. She has experience working with adult clients from various backgrounds with complex trauma histories. Her approach is collaborative, nurturing, empathetic, direct, and non-judgmental because she believes a safe, warm, and accepting environment is essential to the therapeutic process and guiding clients through their healing. Recognizing how minority status and oppression can add to mental health, traumatic experiences, and seeking support, she strives to create an inclusive space for all clients with different cultural backgrounds and identities. She uses an integrative approach and tailors treatment to the clients needs and goals, using psychodynamic therapy, person centered therapy, feminist therapy, trauma informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness techniques in effort to foster hope, empowerment, and resilience. In addition, Tricia works with couples to teach conflict resolution skills, build healthy communication skills, and improve the overall relationship. Tricia works with children, starting at age 10, adolescents, and adults. Tricia's approach is to be compassionate, warm, and non-judgemental focusing on clients strengths.. Her treatment approach is an eclectic blend of  treatment modalities. Tricia focuses on the strengths a client already has in order to build a positive therapeutic relationship. Bob Rockey has served those struggling with mental illness and personal problems in the Milwaukee area since 1980.  He is a graduate from Macalester College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. At Northshore, Bob works now via telehealth with couples, families and individually with adolescents and  adults (as well as older adults), helping with such issues as depression, bipolar disorder, addictions, codependency, abuse, grieving and various eras of personal change. He often uses a blend of Solution Focus, Cognitive Behavioral, 12-Step and other therapeutic stances to fit the needs at hand.  Bob is experienced with pain and many types of medical conditions, as well as physical and emotional disabilities, chronic mental illness and EAP services. He now leads a therapy group for Chronic Pain through Northshore.  Bob is a long time member of the National Association of Social Workers and was on staff at Rogers Memorial Hospital for over 30 years in their in-patient facilities. He long supervised Graduate level Social Work and Counseling interns, and has been a speaker for the Waukesha Mental Health Association and a guest lecturer for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Concordia University and Alverno College.

Shana specializes in working with adults and children with trauma histories and has years of experience working for Washington County Human Services’ crisis program. She has expertise doing suicide assessments, grief counseling, AODA assessments, and debriefing First Responders after critical incidents. She also has extensive experience working with adolescents and their families in assisting with healing, teaching how to disengage in arguments, and communicating. Her approach to therapy is from the perspective of Trauma Informed Care, which looks at individuals from a question of “what has happened to you?” as opposed to “what is wrong with you?” She helps people discover relaxation techniques such as aromatherapy, deep breathing, journaling, and other sensory experiences. These approaches along with looking at perceptions and negative thought patterns can be helpful when working on anxiety and depression. She uses a strengths based approach and views healing as a process and joining the client where they are at in their journey. Shana’s interests are in trauma, LGBT issues, sex therapy, gender assessments, post partum depression, anxiety, depression, suicide prevention, and parenting issues. Since 1972, Tom has been working the chemical dependency and eating disorders field as a therapist, consultant and workshop presenter. He is the author of “Ten Steps for Preventing Student Relapse”, “Student Guide for Relapse Prevention”, and “Eating Concerns Support Group Curriculum”. Mr. Shiltz’s psychotherapy practice at Northshore Clinic includes individual, couples, and family counseling, primarily in the areas of eating disorders, trauma, and addictions. In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Shiltz is on staff at Rogers Memorial Hospital. As Training Specialist for the hospital, Mr. Shiltz develops and delivers professional workshops, assists with research development, provides consultation services to schools and mental health agencies, and writes and publishes training materials. Mr. Shiltz is an ad hoc instructor for Cardinal Stritch University and is a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders.

Vanessa is currently enrolled at Marquette University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program. Having earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation and Human Services with a focus on Kinesiology, Vanessa has experience working in both physiological and psychological aspects of healthcare. Previously, she worked as a Behavioral Specialist with children and adolescents as well as a Personal Trainer focusing on womens health and mobility with older adults. Personally, her role as a wife and mother of three has only further contributed to her capacity and empathy for the experiences of others. Vanessa is passionate about coming alongside individuals in their personal journey to achieve optimal wellness and functioning. She believes that this often begins with mental healthcare such as reconfiguring maladaptive thought patterns. Open to spirituality and faith-based counsel, Vanessa believes in making meaning of life events - victories and adversities alike. With an emphasis on a person-centered and integrative approach, she will develop a treatment plan that uniquely suits each person. Lisa holds a Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in community counseling and is both licensed as a professional counselor with the State of Wisconsin and board certified as a national counselor. She obtained certification as a Narrative Therapist in the summer of 2016. Lisa was granted the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) designation from the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDS) in June, 2018.  Beginning in 1993, her professional career has consisted of private practice counseling, personal and professional coaching, employee assistance programming, teaching, assisting in the development of a dedicated eating disorders program, professional speaking and writing. Lisa’s areas of specialty and interest include women’s issues, concerns of pre-adolescent and adolescent girls, families affected by addiction/codependency, eating disorders, survivors of abuse/trauma/torture, depressive and anxiety disorders, grief and loss concerns, chronic illness, life transitioning, and sexuality and spirituality issues. She is theoretically oriented in gestalt, systemic and existential philosophies and practices from holistic, positive and strength-based psychotherapeutic perspectives. Lisa utilizes numerous forms of creative expression, bioenergetics and elements of spiritual psychology in addition to traditional psychotherapeutic methods in her work with clients. Lisa is an empathic and integrity-minded practitioner who has great reverence and respect for those she works with.

Alyssa Smith

Alyssa came to Northshore Clinic in 2020 as our part-time in-house biller.  During this time she continued to study and work on her Accounting degree.  In 2022, Alyssa graduated with high honors from Moraine Park Technical College and was immediately promoted to our Full-Time Billing Specialist.  Alyssa performs complex clerical and accounting duties and works closely with each clinician on claims and resubmissions to ensure accurate and timely client billing.  Alyssa is a smart, bubbly person who has much empathy and kindness for anyone she meets.
