Shoshana holds a Master’s in Social Work from Yeshiva University, with certificates in School Social Work, Child Welfare, and Trauma-Informed Practice. Prior to that, she earned a Master’s in Educational Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Family Science from Miami University. Her background reflects a long-standing commitment to understanding how people grow, learn, and heal—especially in the context of family, education, and community.
Shoshana is a therapist with a passion for supporting children, teens, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges. She brings experience from school-based settings, where she’s worked closely with students managing academic stress, emotional difficulties, and significant life transitions. Additionally, she brings experience from her work with previously incarcerated individuals and their families.
She specializes in working with anxiety, stress management, executive functioning, academic challenges, life transitions, and interpersonal relationships. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and trauma-informed care. These frameworks allow her to support clients in understanding their thoughts and emotions while developing effective, real-world coping strategies.
She strives to create a collaborative, judgment-free space where clients feel safe to explore and grow. She incorporates practical tools and skills in each session so that the work you do together can continue beyond the therapy office. Whether you're looking to reduce anxiety, improve focus, strengthen relationships, or navigate a transition, she’s here to support you every step of the way.
