I have provided individual, small group, and large group counseling in the educational setting for
the past twenty years. I graduated with a Master of Education in School Counseling (1999) from
Concordia University, Mequon, WI, working with youth ages 5 to 21 years old, alongside their
families. Personally, as a wife, a mother, and a grandmother of two these experiences have
ultimately helped me to be empathetic while enriching couples' relationships, as I incorporate
spiritual beliefs to support the growth of the couple. My background consists of a PH.D in
Christian Counseling (2009), from Agapee Bible Love College, Milwaukee, WI.
I received Gottman Level I certification, which provides me with skills to differentiate and
customize my practice. I implement SFBT, Motivational Interviewing, and “Loving Connection.,
taken from Dr. John Gottman’s book, “The Seven Principals for Making Marriage Work.” I also
use “The Five Love Languages” by Gary Chapman. The goal is to identify your partner's love
language and then guide each of you to practice the techniques to fulfill your partner’s love
language, one step at a time. My goal is to work with couples and provide strategies to walk
them back into the relationship they desire.
